Nature On Display Prints - All Nature On Display prints are beautiful archival quality images. The prints are individually signed by Jay Nielsen.

Why don't we offer matting or framing? We originally offered a single white mat option, but no framing. Over the years the majority of image sales have been for the print only. Due to the wide variety of matting materials and colors and also the wide range of decor in individual homes and offices we have opted to allow customers to choose their own matting and framing options. We recommend taking your signed archival print to a framing shop and ask for suggestions. You will be shown options that will work for the particualar print. You can then choose an option that you like and that will compliment your decor.

8x12 Inkjet Prints - With the recent improvements in photo quality inkjet printers 8x12 prints will be made using a Canon inkjet printer on high quality semigloss photo paper. The printer ink used is the new Chromalife 100 which has excellent archival properties. A framed print behind glass will not fade for 30-100 years depending on factors such as UV light directly on the print.

Printing Method All Other Sizes - Nature on Display archival photographic prints sizes 11x14 to 20x24 are made using the incredible Lightjet 5000 digital laser printer. This printer makes an image on photographic paper using three seperate laser heads. The technology used in this printer was initially developed for satellite imaging and enhancement. Basically what this means is that the printer can enlarge a digital image to very large proportions without sacrificing sharpness or detail. The printer makes a continuous tone image that would be equivalent to 4000 dpi on an inkjet printer. The image quality is superior to prints made using traditional (wetroom) photographic techniques.

The Lightjet prints are made on Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper. The archival quality of this photographic medium is phenomenal. Your limited edition print will have deep rich colors that will not fade or dull, when properly displayed behind glass, for 60 to 100+ years.

Using digital imaging also gives Jay total control over the final image output. He can make color and contrast adjustments to achieve output that matches the actual nature scene as he witnessed it. Jay does not use digital imaging to add or subtract components of the image.
